Richness, Cheaply

My heart just may have skipped a little beat when I discovered that my local thrift store had finally released their summer stock onto racks last week. Sifting through, I found hanger after hanger laden with a delightful mix of handmade beauty and vintage goodness, all permeated with musty richness of the yesteryear... all just waiting for a new story, a new beginning, a new adventure...

  1. Oh lovely Anna did you do a little dance in the shop?!! Such beautiful treasures. I too have a box load of vintage baby loveliness. Perhaps we'll have to have another poppet so I can dress them up! Some of those rompers are just the things I'm making in vintage fabrics. What is your email? (if you don't mind!) I have a little proposal for you...a trade if you may. Hope all is wonderful in yuor little slice of the world. Your babe looks divine.

    1. Oh I so very nearly did Steph! I was like one of those crazy woman you see at sale times in the big department stores - pulling things off the racks left right and centre, even though I was the only one in the store, haha! Another poppet sounds like a perfect idea ;-) I'll send you my email via private message in facebook - I can't wait to hear of this fabulous proposal - knowing you, I'll immediately say 'yes'! Much love, gorgeous lady xxx

  2. Oh my goodness.. I am literally dancing around right now! I am so in LOVE with all of these. I can't wait for the summertime again, I've purposely been buying Sofia little vintage rompers in sizes too big just in the hopes of her wearing them next year! What luck you had! (And I would totally love if you ever opened up shop!) xx

    1. Kate, you should have seen me! I don't think the elderly lady serving me could quite believe how much I was buying! :-D Putting aside gorgeous pieces for next season is just what mumma hens like us do. I love getting them out and dreaming of the days they will finally fit. But then those days end up being here way too quickly for my liking! Have a fabulous weekend lovely x

    1. Oh such lovely words Sophie - thank you! The only problem with a opening a store is I'd be too sentimental to let anything go! Oh dear! xxx
